Night Shield Releasing CD
Sioux Falls - Gabe Night Shield, Night Shield Entertainment, Sioux Falls, announced the upcoming release of a second rap CD, The Hostile Takeover, the week of July 15, 2002. "We started working on the album last June, and it is a big relief to get the album [finished] roughly about a year later." Night Shield said.
Night Shield, 23, released his first CD "The Nation", in May 2001. Originally from St. Francis, he graduated from St. Francis Indian School in 1997 and attended the Art Institute of Seattle, Seattle WA, graduating in 1999 with a major in Audio Production.
"We write songs, go to the studio (Pulse River Studios, Beresford, SD) 2 or 3 times a month and record more songs than we need and pick the best ones for the CD," Night Shield explains.
"It's a lot of work," he added. "I've always loved music since as long as I can remember. I DJ'd in High School, liked it and decided to make my own music."
Other artists featured on "The Hostile Takeover" CD include Overflow, Triple Crown, The NobleMen, Cool Nutz, Syko and Brougham Camp, Silver Shadow D, Mr. D.O.G. 2 8 Tha Native, Yaiva, Bullet & Arjay, Supaman and more.
Staff at Night Shield Entertainment includes Night Shield, Wizi Garriott, Tanya Night Shield and David Lee. "We are currently deciding what the next project is going to be," Night Shield said. They have solo albums from Silver Shadow D, Cinista Cin'atra and Night Shield in the works right now and Night Shield himself will be featured on Overflow's album, "Just Begun To Begin", to be released in a few weeks as well.
Night Shield's CD's can be purchased at music stores in Mission, Mitchell, Rapid City, Sioux Falls, Valentine, NE, online at www.amazon.com or by mail order from their website www.nightshield.com. The Night Shield Entertainment website also offers the latest news, music, pictures, mp3's and message boards relative to the group.
Night Shield and his wife, Tanya (Clairmont), reside in Sioux Falls where, he smiled, "I do have a day job, but I prefer not to say where."
He is the son of Linda Good Buffalo, St. Francis.
