Night Shield Seeking Local Talent For Album Cut
Sioux Falls - Night Shield Entertainment is looking for local folks who can rap or sing to be considered for a track "Rozebud'z Finezt" on an upcoming album.
Night Shield - "Gabe" to his old neighbors in St. Francis - is currently working on a solo album debut and wanted to include some talent from the Rosebud Reservation. The album tentatively titled "Kataztrophik" is scheduled to be released next summer.
To participate in the contest submit a demo- a CD, cassette or video cassette to - Night Shield Entertainment, PO Box 90745, Sioux Falls, SD 57109.
The quality of the demo doesn't matter as long as it accurately displays the performers talents, Night Shield says. He's particularly looking for rap, hip hop or R&B.
"When I go home I get asked all the time by different people to record with them or sign them to my label," the former St. Francis resident said. "Well now is y'all's chance to really get on a track and do something... this could lead to great things. Hopefully something special can come out of this"
Deadline for submission of demo's is February 12th 2003. At least 2 winners will be selected by late February and then be notified. For further information email questions to: info@nightshield.net.
People not from the Rosebud Reservation can also submit demo's for possible inclusion on other upcoming songs or projects Night Shield added.
Night Shield is also working on an album to be released in April, 2003. "Cin'atra Status" is a solo album from his first signed artist, Cinista Cin'atra.
Night Shield and Cin'atra appeared on The Medicine Man's recently released album, "The 30 Day Theory". Night Shield will also be appearing on upcoming albums from Yaiva and Chad Sharp.
Gabe Night Shield is a son of Linda Good Buffalo, St. Francis. He is a graduate of St. Francis Indian School.
